15 minutes to house open.
The band is playing “Little Lion Man.”
The guy playing Orsino is continuing with his weird nightly warm up that involves standing on the stage in boxers yelling “Hey! Hey YOU!” over and over.
But mostly the band (A tuba, an accordion and a guitar) playing “Little Lion Man”

So my best friend here is Sammy Sammy and Sammy Sammy’s roommate is on the track team. She is gone a lot of the weekend at meets, so whenever Sammy Sammy’s roommate is gone for the weekend I sleep over. We drag my mattress across the hall and I sleep on the floor.
We both sleep talk, so sometimes we wake each other up and others have said that when we sleep we actually talk to each...

markhafter replied to your post: Opening Night = Classy Night
Wasn’t the term “Sunday Best?” Being Jewish, I always found that interesting, and was temped to wear my Sunday Best which is most certainly pajama pants and a dirty under shirt!
I think you’re right! Now I have that Hello Dolly song stuck in my head.

Watching through "The Miracle of Swindon Town"
I love how emphatically John says the word handsome. I should keep a tally of the people he calls handsome.

Opening Night = Classy Night
In high school we were always required to dress nicely when we had booth jobs for shows. Nicely like button up shirts for guys and skirts for girls. Most nights I just put a skirt on with whatever I wore to school. But on opening night I consistently dressed overly fancy, with black lace shirts from my mom’s closet, heels and my mad dark lipstick.
And the tradition continues as I sit here...

Oh my god Act 2 Scene 5.
Oh god Malvolio’s monologue. I worship the guy who does this. It’s the only part of the show I watch now.
“I serve her; she is my lady”
I am slayed. We work at the store at the same time and have all semester but I have generally ignored him but now I am like “Oh shit it’s him impress him are you going to say something about oh god he’s looking at you oh...

On writing workshops and getting better.
I wrote a short story a few weeks ago about a girl who’s best friend was dying. It was really intense to write because it drew on personal pain and fear. And I have been terrified that it would not be understood the way I needed it to be.
The class is extremely disorganized. It was supposed to be workshopped three days after I turned it in. It wasn’t until today, three weeks later,...

Let me describe my current situation.
I am spending about 4 hours a day alone in the spotlight booth. The spot booth is a narrow room that doubles as shoe storage. Which means I am alone in a room filled with amazing shoes I cannot touch.
You may not be aware of how much I love shoes. I have 3 pairs of shoes and no money, so about 1/4th of my time spent online is looking at shoes I will never own.
So imagine my torment at being in...
A Day Of Magnificence
Alice brought me breakfast at a coffee house. And it was magnificent.
Got that adorable note I posted earlier from the old man next to us.
Found I Am the Messenger for $3.
Went home and put on my Sucker Punch Dress.
Found out 3 of my cards had sold.
Went to lunch with Sammy Sammy and ate cheesecake.
6 hours of the easiest tech of my life. I worked for 20 minutes and was on my computer for...

4 hours into tech. Not at intermission yet. Luckily the second act is about half as long, but oh goodness.

At the first tech rehearsal.
I’m just the spot op, and I only have 2 cues. Since my cards have been selling well, I’ve decided to dedicate some time to internet window shopping and buy myself a small present.
Also this show is Twelfth Night and since I saw She’s the Man first, I can’t help but watch it in the context for Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum.
I just convinced Eddy to buy two of K.L.'s books.

Paused The Miracle of Swindon Town playlist on my computer before going to sleep, and about an hour later youtube decided it was time for me to wake up to tales of hammers and body burning.
I want to wake up this way every day.

Me: Hey Sammy Sammy, do you want to read this poem I wrote last year?
Sammy Sammy: Does anyone's skin fall off in it?
Me: Her skin didn't actually fall off in that story, she just fantasized about it falling off.
Sammy Sammy: Is there death by blender?
Me: I told you, the only Spanish I knew were appliances and family members. What was I supposed to write an essay about?
Sammy Sammy: Ok I'll read it.
Me: Oh wait, there is a skin metaphor. Never mind.

It’s a little difficult to explain how zapped I am right now, but it’s the kind of exhausted and sad that only white combat boots can repair.

To be honest, this request is largely to take survey of what about me interests people. I am working on Evil Flower #6 and keep tossing writing aside, because I don’t think it’s interesting enough.
So help me out please!
